Global Cyber Alliance and EACT are teaming up
EACT (European Association of Corporate Treasurers) has decided to join the GCA (Global Cyber Alliance). GCA is an international nonprofit organization collectively confronting cyber risks and improving our connected world. It has been created in 2015. It is a catalyst to bring communities of interest and affiliations together in an environment that sparks innovation with concrete measurable achievements. GCA’s mission is to identify systemic cyber risks where significant progress can be made on risk reduction and bring together the people and resources to identify and implement a solution, to take action and to measure the effect. The key success of GCA is bringing together the expertise and resources of partners and supporters to collaborate and implement solutions. By standing together and focus on making real progress, this group expects to reduce cyber risks. GCA produces papers and share information following cyber security incidents. EACT is convinced that by sharing the information with its members and by reporting incidents it will help treasurers to better fight hackers and to mitigate cyber risks. By having a brand such as GCA membership also signals to attackers that members are better protected and so suggests that they would look for softer targets. Our members will be regularly informed by the Cyber Risk sub-group of EACT.
